Ordered a chest of drawers from them & was given a delivery date 4 days away. Received a further email from Dunelm & two from their courier - Panther Logistics, both emails confirmed the delivery date.I cancelled an appointment I had so that I would be home to take the delivery.The day before the delivery, I received a call from Panther Logistics informing me that they do not deliver to my postcode & that they would be passing it on to a 3rd party courier, who would then be in touch with me.According to Dunelms website, the delivery took place on time, but we are still waiting for it.Contacted Dunelm customer services & the reply was - "Thank you for your email, I am sorry to hear you are still awaiting your delivery.I have had a look into this for you and can see the notification you have received is delivery to the 3rd party courier.On our delivery tab and items on the website we do notify that depending on your postcode that your delivery may take long to arrive with you.I hope this helps"We are still none the wiser as to the whereabouts of our purchase!After reading through screeds of small print, I have found that furniture delivery to any IV postcode is excluded from their 7-14 day delivery service & that they will try to get it delivered as soon as possible.Why then confirm the order with a definite delivery date & follow this up with 3 separate emails - all confirming the same date!At no point was I told that the delivery date given was to a 3rd party courier. Each email gave the delivery destination as being my home postcode & emphasised the fact that someone had to be home to receive the delivery on that date.This was my first purchase from Dunelm & will probably be the last.
