Dunelm Belfast Review by KAT M, 2015-11-15T14:32:27.113

I purchased a pair of long cream eyelet blackout curtains about 12 months ago from Dunlem Mill, Boucher Road, Belfast and they looked great. I recently decided to wash them, freshen them up abit even though they were not that dirty.I went by the wash care instructions and washed them at 30 .When I removed them from the washing machine the blackout material had went sticky, almost like chewing gum in some places.I decided that I would dry them on the line, the curtains ended up sticking together and I had to pull them apart leaving huge marks on the inside ,blackout side.I rang Dunelm Belfast and they advised me to bring them down to the store. The staff agreed they should not have went like that especially as I had been careful and had washed them according to the instructions.I was offered a £5 refund as I did not have the receipt, I do know that I certainy paid a lot more for these curtains and would not be accepting that.I was told by the staff in Dunelm Belfast to ring the customer care line and see if they could help.I then rang Dunelm customer care line and they advised me to ring the store again.I found the staff instore and the customer care line staff to be completely unhelpful, unprofessional, pass the buck. The moral of the story is DO NOT PURCHASE BLACKOUT EYELET CURTAINS FROM DUNELM MILL THEY WILL GO FAULTY IN THE WASH AND YOU WON'T GET A REFUND IF AFTER A YEAR YOU HAVE NOT KEPT YOUR RECEIPT WHICH IS HiGHLY LIKELEY.I am very disappointed and will never purchase any other items from this store. The goods were faulty therefore I should have got a full refund and as for the staff, don't think they had a clue what to do. Disappointed Customer :(
